THE COMPANY
“I DON’T BELIEVE IN SEASONS. RATHER IN BEAUTIFUL PIECES YOU CAN PUT TOGETHER TO CREATE AN UNFORGETTABLE IMAGE“
SUSTAINABLE
We are always looking at ways to make life better for the people who make our clothes. Since 2012 we’ve encouraged and assisted an alternative supply chain.
We offer financial aid to Embroiderers and stitchers who are keen to set up their own home-based workshops.
These are staffed by neighbours, family and friends.
Working from home saves transport expenses while reducing the carbon footprints.
HUMAN RIGHTS
Yes to worker empowerment. No to excessive hours, unsafe conditions and child labour.
Diversity & Inclusion
We’re committed to creating a friendly workplace.
Because we all benefit when we work in an environment where we are all equal.
NO WASTE
As part of our social and environmental commitment, we have implemented a no waste policy. All cut ends of fabric are collected on a daily basis and donated to a charity that makes patchwork quilts.
Once a year unsold stock is put on display at the workshop for the team to choose and take home for their families.ᅠ
This extends their useful life, while generating a positive impact in our community.
SLOW FASHION
Working towards an environmentally friendly atmosphere by
1. Producing small runs of each design.
2. Using local handloom fabrics as much as we can.
3. Designing classics that endure and last a decade.
4. Ensuring fair wages to our team.
5. Having our entire production including design under one roof.
6. Profit sharing with the entire workforce.
7. Empowering charities.
SHARING
Maheens and Gulabo are proud to have set up a profit-sharing plan with employees.
Not only as recognition for their contribution to the company’s success, but to their own personal sense of ownership and belonging.
